The ultimate routine for keeping your Louis Vuitton bags stunning-new or vintage.
Suitable for all canvas types, including light-colored ones.
STEP 1: CLEAN THE CANVAS
1
Foam Cleaner, Small Brush, Chiffon Cloth
2
Apply Cleaner
Shake the Foam Cleaner well. Apply to the canvas, using a soft brush or cloth in circular motions.
3
Remove Residue
Wipe off foam with a damp (not wet) cloth, ensuring no residue remains.
4
Allow to Dry
Let dry for 2-3 hours. Repeat first step for heavily soiled areas if they don't come clean on the first attempt.
STEP 2: CONDITION AND PROTECT
1
Prepare Materials
You need: Canvas Lotion, Chiffon Cloth, Applicator Brush
2
Apply Conditioning Lotion
Once dry, apply a conditioning lotion with carnauba wax. Spread evenly to prevent cracks and maintain suppleness.
3
Allow to Absorb
Let it soak in, then buff with a soft chiffon cloth for a smooth finish.
4
Maintain Flexibility
Louis Vuitton's coated canvas requires lotion care to maintain its flexibility, prevent cracks, and preserve its iconic look.
STEP 3: VACHETTA LEATHER CAR
1. For Light Soiling
1
You need: Vachetta Cream, Chiffon Cloth, Applicator Brush
2
Wipe the leather with a damp (not wet) cloth and let it dry for 3-4 hours
3
Then, apply Vachetta Cream for nourishment and protection. Leave it for 3-4 minutes
4
and buff with a brush or a dry cloth.
2. For Heavily Soiled Vachetta Leather
1
Vachetta Cream, Foam Cleaner, Cloth, Brush
2
Apply the foam cleaner to a brush or cloth and distribute it evenly over the leather. Wipe immediately with a damp cloth. Let it dry for 3-4 hours.
3
Finish the process by applying Vachetta Cream for hydration and preservation.
4
After 3-4 minutes, buff with a brush or a dry cloth.
STEP 4: REFRESH THE LINING
Gather Materials
You need: Shampoo, Soft Brush, Damp Cloth
Apply Shampoo
Apply the shampoo with a soft brush, gently working it into the lining.
Remove Foam
Then, remove the foam with a damp (not wet) cloth.
Important Note
Do not let the foam dry on the lining; it must be wiped off.
STEP 5: INK STAIN REMOVAL
1
Prepare the Lining
Start with a damp lining, ideally after cleansing with shampoo.
2
Apply Ink Remover
Apply a small amount of ink remover to a cotton bud.
3
Treat the Stain
Press the cotton bud firmly onto the ink stain and gently rub. Repeat as needed for stubborn stains.
4
Allow to Dry
Allow the lining to air dry completely for 3-4 hours before use.
5
Best Practice
Use Ink Remover on a damp lining, especially for older or stubborn stains, as it helps remove them more effectively.
STEP 6: POLISH THE HARDWARE
Gather Materials
You need: Hardware & Jewelry Cleaner, Cotton Swabs, Silver Cloth
Apply Cleaner
Dip a cotton swab into Hardware & Jewelry Cleaner. Apply it to the hardware, ensuring full coverage. Let it sit for 2 minutes.
Buff to Shine
Gently buff the hardware with a silver cloth for a polished finish. Repeat the buffing process for extra shine, if needed.

IMPORTANT WARNINGS
About Vachetta Leather Patina
The darkening of Vachetta leather, known as patina, is a hallmark of Louis Vuitton bags and a sign of elegance. Cherish patina as it adds timeless beauty to your bag's journey.
What to Avoid
Never use magic erasers, harsh treatments, or protective sprays on Vachetta leather. They can cause cracks, damage the structure, and ruin the leather's quality. Stick to gentle care only. Watch the full video tutorial for all the details.
Proper Storage & Care
Keep your product away from humidity and direct heat sources like radiators or car interiors in summer. When not in use, store your Louis Vuitton bag in its dust bag in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve its condition.
